Gossip: Boateng to Man United, Pogback to Juve, Grealish to Reds

POGBACK TO JUVENTUS?
That’s one of the theories put forward by Tuttosport, who claim that Juventus have identified several targets to replace Miralem Pjanic if he leaves, and that does look increasingly likely with reports suggesting that Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in the £70m-rated Bosnian, who is being paid a lot less than he believes he is worth in Italy.

So what will Juventus? Well, they could bring back Pogba or they could target Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, or they could turn to PSG duo Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot. Both of them? That doesn’t seem fair.

LIVERPOOL LINKED WITH GREALISH
Hmm. Now this sounds awfully like a story designed to get more money out of Tottenham for Jack Grealish. The Sun claim that Liverpool have entered the race for the Aston Villa midfielder, who we are told is very keen to move to north London but is being frustrated by Daniel Levy’s insistence that they will only pay £20m to the cash-strapped club.

But ‘Sunsport understands Liverpool have now registered their interest with Villa – changing the complexion of the transfer completely’. So Tottenham need to cough up in double-quick time for a player Aston Villa value closer to £40m. Of course, Sunsport also understands that Liverpool are prepared to pay more for Grealish.

BOATENG TO MAN UNITED FOR…
‘Manchester United have been told they can have Jerome Boateng for around £50m,’ begins the report in the Manchester Evening News. They then go on to say that Bayern are ‘willing to listen to offers as low as £43m after telling the German international he is free to go’, so we are not entirely sure who to believe – James Robson or James Robson?

Either way, it does sound like an awful lot of money for a 29-year-old centre-half, though it is at least less than the £70m that Tottenham are asking for Toby Alderweireld.
