Roberto Carlos has praised Liverpool and Brazil World Cup forward Roberto Firmino.
Firmino was named in Tite’s 23-man World Cup squad on the back of a fine season for Liverpool.
The forward is in a battle with Manchester City compatriot Gabriel Jesus for the central starting spot.
Firmino scored 27 goals and assisted a further 17 in 54 games in all competitions, so would feel aggrieved if he was left out.
Carlos is fighting his corner.
“Roberto Firmino has got great technical ability,” he said.
“He is fast and intelligent. He takes up good positions. He has real quality as well.”
